MYdys Edu application is developed by FACIL’iti, a company specialized in digital inclusion technologies and solutions. MYdys is an application specifically tailored to address dyslexia, a condition that leads to difficulties in reading and writing, especially during the learning phases of schooling.

This application relies on augmented reality and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to allow students to customize a text simply by taking a photo or importing a course file (line spacing, font, colors, contrasts, identification of confusing letters and numbers, voice synthesis, translation into 21 languages, etc.). Subsequently, the adapted text can be shared and printed.

Some examples:

During class, the student’s supporter takes a photo of the text on the board and adapts it to help the child read or write. The teacher imports a lesson into their smartphone or tablet, customizes it according to the student’s needs, and prints it with a single click. The supporter or teacher sends the adapted text to parents with one click (via email, SMS, etc.) to assist the child with homework at home. At home, the parent takes photos of pages in a book to read; the child can use voice synthesis for assistance in reading and/or adapt the text according to their needs.

Launched in January 2023, MYdys has been very successful with already 28,000 downloads and two prestigious awards (Winner of CES Las Vegas and Tech For Good Awards 2023). The company has received numerous testimonials from teachers, parents of dyslexic students, and support staff for students with disabilities (AESH), all impressed by the solution:

As a school director, I immediately understood the interest of this application for dyslexic students. MYdys makes reading in class easier. It is a high-quality educational tool that contributes to reducing academic failure.

Bertrand Gaufryau, Director of the Armand David Agricultural High School in Hasparren (France)

According to INSERM, every teacher has 1 or 2 students with a specific disorder of written language in their class each year. It is estimated that there are approximately 1 million dyslexic students in France. To support them, FACIL’iti has launched MYdys Edu, an offer dedicated to educational institutions to promote inclusion and academic success.

Application available on IOS and Android
