An eTwinning project is a collaborative project between teachers and students from various European countries, utilizing various digital tools, including a dedicated platform, to get to know each other, exchange ideas, and work together.
Opening students to other cultures while learning differently
The eTwinning program promotes motivation, openness to others, diversification of teaching methods, the use of new technologies, and the development of creativity. It is an ideal solution for teachers seeking new pedagogical approaches and for students eager to broaden their understanding of the world around them.
For example, they can integrate interactive activities, online resources, educational games, videos, multimedia presentations, etc. This makes learning more engaging and appealing to students while enhancing their digital skills.
What does an eTwinning project look like in practice?
For instance, the project « One Sky, Two Countries: Journey through Natural Phenomena » brought together two primary schools for a project in Science, education for sustainable development, in French and Spanish. The bonds between students were strengthened through the creation of logos for the project, virtual books and museums, videos, exchanging cards and drawings, exploring cultures, poetry, cities, and nature around them, as well as meeting and exchanging during video conferences.
Other examples of eTwinning projects and activities are available on the national portal. Feel free to explore them for project ideas.
