Each year, the French Ministry of National Education and the Animath association organize Mathematics Olympiads for high school students. The goal is to foster a new scientific culture by stimulating students’ interest in research.
These Olympiads highlight the connection between mathematics and other sciences, encourage alternative approaches to mathematical problems, motivate young people—especially young women—to pursue scientific careers, and promote the establishment of math clubs and workshops. Top national winners may receive scholarships for summer universities or training sessions for other mathematics competitions.
Alexandre Titin-Snaider outlines Texas Instruments’ involvement in the National Mathematics Olympiads:
For 30 years, TI has been committed to supporting French teachers and students, particularly high schoolers. Our proven technology and equipment, designed for both mathematics exams and science laboratories, align perfectly with the excellence showcased during the Olympiads. Winning schools can rely on our educational representatives to enhance teaching activities and facilitate the use of our equipment.
