🚀 LUDOVIALES â€“ Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing many sectors of our society, and education is no exception. As an instructional designer specializing in AI, my mission is to create educational resources tailored to students from 8th grade to technical degrees (BTS), preparing them for the challenges and opportunities presented by this technology.

Since the advent of large language models in the public market, these tools have been widely adopted by students, starting in middle school, for entertainment and academic purposes. However, these students currently lack training in AI best practices.

The March 2024 report from the Government’s Artificial Intelligence Commission highlights 25 recommendationsfor public authorities, including seven key priorities aimed at significantly advancing France’s commitment to the industrial implementation of AI.

The fact that the first recommendation is to Â«Â Create the conditions for collective understanding and awareness of AI by launching a national education and training plan » reinforces the need for an AI training initiative and validates the ambitions of our project. It is therefore our responsibility to raise students’ awareness of the individual and societal impacts of AI systems—impacts that exist even before writing a single line of code.

Two Learning Dimensions: Practical Use and Foundations

Accessible knowledge is key to AI awareness. Given the fast-paced evolution of this technology, we prioritize teaching stable, long-term topics through a human-centered approach to foster critical thinking. Before AI is a technical issue, it is an ethical and moral one.

Our toolkit, « Being, Positioning, and Acting Ethically, » introduces students to AI through three main perspectives:

  1. Being â€“ Observing and describing AI systems.
  2. Positioning â€“ Understanding and explaining AI’s role.
  3. Acting Ethically â€“ Analyzing and debating its impact.

This hands-on approach ensures effective knowledge integration.

Scaling AI Education Through Teacher Training

Our primary focus is training educators, as they are the key to knowledge dissemination. While we support our pilot teachers, we cannot be physically present with all of them.

To scale our impact, we have partnered with Rapidmooc to design self-training modules integrated into our toolkits. Each module is written by an expert and filmed by an instructional designer. Rapidmooc’s technology revolutionizes educational video production, enabling high-quality content without advanced technical skills.

Flexible, High-Quality Learning for Teachers

The Rapidmooc videos provide teachers with flexible, self-paced learning, allowing them to review content as neededand tailor their learning experience. The professional-grade video quality boosts student engagement and information retention, supported by AI-generated subtitles and multilingual dubbing.
