LUDOVIALES 🚀 The ethical issues related to the increasing use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) can legitimately raise questions and even concerns. Without losing sight of these issues, why limit ourselves to a defensive approach instead of exploring the potential of these tools to develop critical thinking in our learners? This is the question proposed by LesRochDur in their workshop, scheduled for April 2nd.
By integrating GAI tools into learning sequences, we can help students identify fake news, understand media biases, and strengthen their ability to critically analyze information.
Far from being just a content generation tool, GAI can become a significant lever for developing 21st-century skills.
This demo workshop will explore the potential of GAI as an innovative field for fostering learners’ critical thinking through interactive and practical educational activities.

GAI as a Tool to Support Ludopedagogical Activities
- Demonstration of an interactive ludopedagogical activity aimed at developing skills in identifying different types of information we encounter daily.
- Using GAI to facilitate research and analysis of various types of discourse and media communications (e.g., Perplexity, ChatGPT Research…)
- GAI’s contribution to the development and structure of game mechanics
- Co-construction of game elements and storytelling with GAI
GAI as:
- An « on-demand » educational content generator
- A tutor chatbot
- A feedback tool
Demonstration of Two Chatbots:
- A random fake news generator (via a « megaprompt » on Mistral or Gemini) to work on identifying disinformation mechanisms.
- A random fact or fake generator (based on GPT) to enhance fact-checking skills.
In Summary:
We propose using GAI to develop the following skills:
- Identifying different types of media discourse
- Deconstructing disinformation mechanisms
- Fact-checking
