During LUDOVIA#BE, which took place in Spa, Wallonia from October 22 to 24, 2024, we met a number of « gems. » Over the coming weeks, you’ll be able to discover a small selection of these, in the form of articles and short videos, which we hope will serve as a source of inspiration for your ongoing and future projects…
Interview 🎙️Today, we want to inspire you with Amandine Coutant from EdTech Station #BE, an entrepreneur.
« The goal of EdTech Station, in partnership with the Digital Agency, is to help start-ups develop and grow in Belgium, whether in Wallonia, Flanders, or the Brussels region, » she explains to introduce her message.
Amandine Coutant is French and is well-acquainted with EdTech in France; through EdTech Station, she wants to support start-ups and show them the way.
As she says, Belgium is a small country, but there are a lot of projects developing.
« The idea is really to connect synergies between the different regions to help these start-ups navigate better, » she emphasizes. And there’s reason for this! When she started as an entrepreneur in Belgium 10 years ago, she felt lost. Over time, she built a network and « now, with my husband, we have become ambassadors of the network. »
The complexity of the economic sector is the same as in France. Recently, bootcamps have been organized where French and Belgian entrepreneurs are invited to discuss their respective markets and also explain how businesses can support each other across « territories. »
« We focus on cultural understanding to facilitate networking for start-ups. »
EdTechStation, created three years ago, currently has about 150 members.
The Digital Agency plays a vital role in supporting the project, facilitating connections, handling administrative procedures, and more.
« They are here to strengthen territorial alliances, help start-ups, and enable them to grow in Belgium, » she adds.
From her perspective, LUDOVIA#BE is a space without commercial connotations that greatly facilitates exchanges and connectivity—values that align perfectly with the philosophy of EdTechStation.
