LUDOVIALES 🚀 You couldn’t have missed the wave of communication about artificial intelligence (AI) and the plethora of tools that seem to emerge every day. While AI is not a recent invention, its democratization seems to be underway. Within the S’CAPE collective, we quickly wondered if generative AI had a place in the universe of educational escape games and interactive stories. We observed the practices of our colleagues, tested different approaches to artificial intelligence, all while learning to speak its language…

How can generative AIs serve as super-assistants to teachers and trainers in all stages of developing a pedagogical escape game or interactive story? How can these skills be exploited in the art of prompting to foster a critical and creative use of AI by students? You’ll find out by signing up for the LUDOVIALES on April 10th scheduled on the subject!

This conference « When AI is in Escape Games! » aims not only to present the possible uses of different generative AIs in creating educational escape games and choose-your-own-adventure stories but also to consider their use by students to support their creative projects and learning. Designed in an interactive format, this intervention will also allow the audience to test their prompting skills, to initiate the scripting of a game through AI, and to share this project.

Generative artificial intelligence becomes an essential assistant for teachers and trainers, especially in creating educational games, which can save them valuable time and provide them with original ideas, all while retaining their freedom of choice and critical thinking. Students and trainees thus benefit from engaging and varied ludopedagogical activities. The skills implemented by teachers and trainers can enable them to use AI more effectively in other educational domains and contribute to improving education on AI, creativity, and students’ critical thinking.

This conference will be led by Mélanie Fenaert from the Versailles Academy and Patrice Nadam.
