Have you not yet heard of Primàbord? Despite that, this digital resource portal has been around for 7 years! It is in constant evolution and enriches itself day by day.
We present this overview in the company of Christelle Prince, Deputy Head of Department for Educational Support and User Experience at the Directorate of Digital Education, and Christophe Gilger, Project Manager for the Primàbord portal.
You may not know Primàbord yet, but this digital resource portal has been online for 7 years! It is in constant evolution and enriches itself day by day. Join the Primàbord community!
« The idea behind this collaborative portal is to offer and share digital resources and practices freely to primary school teachers » explains Christophe Gilger.
Easy access, facilitated usage
Access to the unique page of Primàbord allows users to search for resources through thumbnails and filters, making it easy to find relevant content.
The first filter is the grade level, followed by discipline, and so forth.
« Each article is categorized as Teach, Inspire, or Learn » explains Christophe Gilger.
In the « Learn » section, teachers will find training courses, institutional resources, and reference documents.
In the « Inspire » section, teachers can explore projects carried out by other educators, schools, or academies, providing them with ideas to implement in their classrooms.
Finally, in the « Teach » section, « we find ready-to-use resources, sequences or lessons, activities, challenges, and more, » emphasizes Christophe Gilger.
Sharing Content Among Teachers: Primàbord is Above All a Collaborative Portal!
Any teacher eager to share their work to benefit other colleagues can do so! Enriching the portal with new content is also the mission of academic teams and the Directorate of Digital Education (DNE), which can « share » experiences.
Let’s be clear, « Primàbord is above all a collaborative portal, which means that academies, having an editorial account, can submit articles; either based on an experience they have witnessed and wish to highlight or after receiving a testimonial from a teacher who would like to share their practices » emphasizes Christelle Prince.
There are numerous « gems » across the country concerning digital usage in education, and the goal of this portal is clearly to highlight the work of teachers in primary education.
The main objective of the Directorate of Digital Education is to showcase and highlight resources and all pedagogical practices from the field.
« What we want to see is what students and teachers are doing with digital tools to support learning so that they can inspire other teachers » adds Christelle Prince.
In each academy, there is or will soon be a Primàbord referent « whose function is to support, initiate, and even encourage teachers who may hesitate to share their lessons. »
She emphasizes that all initiatives are welcome, for all grade levels.
All tools, all uses are worth considering, from the most modest to the most expert, as all experiences can inspire and encourage teachers to develop their practices.
Currently, there are over 1000 articles and contents online. It’s a public portal, open « because our intention is for everyone to access it, draw inspiration from it, and above all, contribute to it, » concludes Christelle Prince.
Do you want to contribute and share your experience? Don’t hesitate any longer!
