We were at the Cube at EIC <\/a>Tourcoing on Thursday, March 20, 2025, for the 3rd edition of their Education and Pedagogical Innovation Forum \u2014 a rich program filled with conferences, round tables, and experiential workshops designed to deepen understanding and support your everyday teaching practice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ludomag was present to host several live mini-conferences on YouTube and in podcast format, covering a wide range of topics with outstanding speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, we\u2019re focusing on game-based learning with Camille De Visscher, S\u00e9bastien Ah-Leung, and B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte Dalmasso-Denis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the mini-conference \u2014 which you can listen to as a podcast or watch in the video below \u2014 was to explore the topic of game-based learning. Camille and S\u00e9bastien shared their experience with the serious game \u201cMission Recherche\u201d<\/em>developed at the University of Lille \u2014 an immersive serious game focused on academic research and the valorization of research through gameplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte, she discussed her own creation of educational escape games and their impact on students. Why and how can we learn through play? She spoke about several classroom activities she uses: escape games, the \u201cFresque de l’information\u201d<\/em> (Information Mural), and \u201cClasse Investigation\u201d<\/em>, a role-playing investigative game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte, as a teacher librarian, offers various playful educational activities, such as pedagogical escape games, the role-play game \u201cClasse Investigation\u201d<\/em>, and the \u201cFresque de l’information\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo highlight seven different research projects, we created a game in the form of an escape game titled \u2018Mission Recherche\u2019<\/em>, aimed at high school audiences,\u201d explains Camille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00e9bastien contributes to the design of games either to showcase research results or for pedagogical purposes to help students develop skills. These games can take various forms: digital, escape games, board games, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
