My organization and I offered entertaining activities to help people reconnect,\u00a0\u00bb explains Nolan Clostermann as he introduces his work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At that time, he noticed a significant increase in video gaming across all age groups. This led Gaming Factory to develop activities aimed at organizations of all kinds, intending to regulate gaming practices and achieve specific social goals through this medium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building Social Connections Through LAN Parties<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One key initiative is organizing LAN parties\u2014on-site gaming tournaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0During a LAN party, we can include various activities, adding an educational or social layer depending on the objectives we aim to achieve,\u00a0\u00bb he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These events create opportunities for participants to engage with their opponents or teammates, fostering social interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When working with younger audiences, such events are also ideal for addressing diverse topics, such as discrimination through video games or gaining technical skills like operating a streaming studio or managing online broadcasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00ab\u00a0Video games are merely a medium; the intent behind their use is what matters. They\u2019re just a toolbox.\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Video Games: A Diverse Range of Careers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Introducing people to video games also involves exploring the many career opportunities they offer, which extend far beyond the traditional view of a \u00ab\u00a0programmer.\u00a0\u00bb This sector includes fields such as communication, economics, and law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When discussing the regulation of gaming practices, esports\u2014competitive video gaming\u2014becomes a central focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Challenging the Negative Perception of Video Games<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0Today, there\u2019s a clear lack of regulation, likely tied to the public\u2019s perception of video games, often associated with entertainment and negative connotations like &lsquo;overconsumption,&rsquo; addiction, and excessive screen time,\u00a0\u00bb Nolan notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For him, gaming is already a growing practice, and it would have been better to regulate it from the start. Currently, regulation relies heavily on family education, \u00ab\u00a0which is sociologically the most inconsistent and unequal form of supervision,\u00a0\u00bb he emphasizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a strong demand for structured regulation, evidenced by the fact that Nolan Clostermann and Gaming Factory cannot meet all the requests they receive in Wallonia. Cities, cultural centers, youth centers, libraries, and more are seeking their expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00ab\u00a0Video games are complex creations that involve multiple art forms.
