It serves as a space not only for teachers but also for their students, who can complete assignments directly on the platform, enabling teachers to track their progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>The platform supports hybrid learning and pedagogical differentiation<\/em>\u201d adds R\u00e9mi Lefeuvre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Sustainable Tool for Teachers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The platform\u2019s primary promise is to offer all teachers a reliable and enduring tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>R\u00e9mi Lefeuvre highlights the example of career changes teachers may face. With \u00c9l\u00e9a, the content they create follows them, regardless of their geographical location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>In addition to retaining their content, teachers can also collaborate with colleagues remotely. Even if separated geographically, they can continue working together<\/em>\u201d he explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00c9l\u00e9a\u2019s Selection for National Deployment by September 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>This is a unified infrastructure offering the same services across all regions<\/em>\u201d Lefeuvre states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although other Moodle instances already existed in some academic regions, \u00c9l\u00e9a was chosen for national deployment because it had been the most heavily invested in, ensuring simplified usage for both teachers and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to remember that Moodle was originally designed for higher education, requiring significant adaptation for teachers without instructional design expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Platform for All Teachers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9l\u00e9a is user-friendly, even for beginners. Teachers can access training offered by their academic region, use available tutorials, or dive in independently. \u201cThe platform is simple enough to allow quick creation of small-scale educational activities,\u201d Lefeuvre emphasizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, to fully leverage \u00c9l\u00e9a\u2019s potential and refine their pedagogy, teachers are encouraged to undertake specific training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In March, the platform recorded 100,000 unique monthly users. By September, this number had grown to nearly 300,000, demonstrating a strong correlation between its deployment and increased usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The \u201c\u00c9l\u00e9ath\u00e8que\u201d Evolves into the Designer Network<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Educational pathways shared by teachers are currently grouped in the \u201c\u00c9l\u00e9ath\u00e8que.\u201d However, according to Lefeuvre, these pathways are rarely updated after being shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the end of the year, the Ministry of National Education plans to replace the \u00c9l\u00e9ath\u00e8que with a new platform called the&nbsp;<strong>Designer Network<\/strong>. \u201cThis platform is intended to be more dynamic, meaning a pathway can only remain shared if maintained by a team of teachers,\u201d he explains. If the team is no longer active, the pathway will be removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe key difference is that while \u00c9l\u00e9ath\u00e8que pathways are currently validated before sharing, the Designer Network will skip this step, saving time.
