INTERVIEW \ud83c\udf99\ufe0f<\/strong> Three days after the close of the 2024 edition of Educatech Expo<\/a>\u2014the leading trade show for technological innovations in education\u2014Ghislaine de Chambine, the event\u2019s commissioner, gave us a quick overview of this year\u2019s highlights. Attendance remained robust, the plenary conferences attracted significant interest, and a few new exhibitors joined for the first time.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As a cherry on top, the Minister of Education made a brief appearance at the show on Friday, just before the official closing. Earlier that same morning, Alexandre Portier, the Delegate Minister for Academic Success and Vocational Education, visited several booths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, Educatech Expo continues to offer numerous innovations across approximately 300 booths. The year\u2019s theme, centered on \u201creconnection,\u201d did not overshadow the many solutions integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ludomag, which had its own booth, explored the event over the three days, discovering a variety of intriguing new products and offerings (non-exhaustive list). Below is a quick roundup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– CNED<\/strong> showcased its strength this year with virtual reality demonstrations and AI-integrated services, including content developed using generative AI tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Evidence B<\/strong> is hiring! Alongside its established team, we met Xavier, the new Sales Manager, and Maude, the new Marketing and Community Manager. The team introduced updates to their Mia Seconde program, among other offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Easytis<\/strong> was in full force! (A detailed article is forthcoming in Ludomag.) As always, Patrice Ulles and his team were busy presenting numerous solutions, including those related to STEM and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– AFT-RN<\/strong> had its first-ever booth this year and signed agreements with two new partners (iDruide and Evidence B). AFT-RN also hosted workshops at its partners’ stands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Edulib<\/strong>, a regular at Educatech Expo and LUDOVIA FRANCE, debuted its platform for EdTech companies this year. The platform also helps younger organizations navigate compliance with GAR (French digital education framework) and GDPR regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– G\u00e9n\u00e9ration 5<\/strong> and its director, Philippe Caillau, introduced a new exercise booklet for high school sophomores in partnership with SACADO. G\u00e9n\u00e9ration 5 has long provided hybrid (print and digital) solutions for middle and elementary school curricula across multiple subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Kokora Lingua<\/strong> confirmed its expansion into additional languages (including German and Spanish) and shared insights about their experience with France\u2019s TNE initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– ViewSonic<\/strong> unveiled a new range of interactive screens, with Chrisline delivering an engaging presentation (see the article and video in Ludomag).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– LogBook<\/strong>, represented by Axelle, demonstrated a correction-assistance tool powered by AI that significantly reduces grading and annotation time by one-third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Sylex<\/strong>, represented by Val\u00e9rie, announced progress on aligning their solution with the GAR framework. Sylex was also a regional winner in Hauts-de-France for a project promoting classroom education on sexuality, supported by the DRDFE (Regional Directorate for Women\u2019s Rights and Equality). Notably, Sylex received the \u201cYoung Innovators\u201d award at LUDOVIA FRANCE this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Spicee Educ<\/strong>, the educational wing of the 100% documentary streaming platform, announced two new video topics for this year: \u00ab\u00a0Artificial Intelligence\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0Climate Change Skepticism.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Vittascience<\/strong>, an educational platform designed for learning coding, launched a successful new online service focused on explaining how AI works. This service has now surpassed the usage of their original coding tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Mobidys and Sondo<\/strong> introduced new functionalities for their reading platforms, including tools for daily reading practice tracking with a dashboard for teachers. They also offer a \u201c10 minutes of reading per day\u201d feature that unlocks badges to motivate young readers. Sondo announced new titles such as Foam of the Daze<\/em> and works by Le\u00efla Slimani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Quiz\u00e9o<\/strong>, launched less than a year ago, unveiled a new content and quiz service for teachers and students. The platform allows rapid creation of lessons and reviews, incorporating diverse multimedia elements. It is also available on Tabul\u00e9o, boasting over 50,000 users today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Lastly, Edumalin<\/strong> announced a new collaboration in academic teaching, and MPP (Ma Petite Plan\u00e8te)<\/strong> is launching a school edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
