Aimed at middle and high school students and teachers, this STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) educational project aims to spark interest in scientific and digital subjects among young people. It is built around the development of educational kits based on STMicroelectronics components, supported by Vittascience’s digital platform. By offering activities at the class or educational community level and prioritizing active pedagogies, this new kit expands the tools available to teachers for addressing embedded artificial intelligence.

The « Embedded Artificial Intelligence Kit » is specially designed for beginners in electronics and programming who wish to understand the principles of artificial intelligence and its added value in embedded systems. Based on an STM32H7 development board (microcontrollers) and equipped with a camera, it will allow students to program the kit for image recognition and define actions based on the information gathered by the embedded camera. This kit can be combined with other kits already offered by the two companies, such as the Martian robot, which can then move and react autonomously thanks to prior learning of traffic signs (machine learning). STMicroelectronics and Vittascience will present this educational kit at the SIDO trade show, which will take place at the Cité Internationale de Lyon from September 18 to 19, 2024.

The five kits come with a set of educational resources, making technical and pedagogical implementation easier for teachers in their classrooms.
